Stocktakes for Shopify

Stocktake your Shopify inventory, and update your COGS

Count your physical stock, by hand or with a barcode scanner, review the variance against Landara's FIFO cost basis, and apply it straight to cost of goods sold. Push the corrected counts back to Shopify in the same step.

A lightweight replacement for Stocky stocktakes.

How it works

Count → review → commit

01

Start

Pick a location (or all). Landara pulls current Shopify on-hand for every SKU and opens a count sheet.

02

Count or scan

Type counts, or scan barcodes. Each scan adds one. Uncounted lines are flagged; zero them out in a click.

03

Review variance

See your count vs Landara's FIFO position and vs Shopify on-hand, with the cost impact per line.

04

Commit

Apply the variance to COGS, and optionally push the corrected on-hand back to Shopify.

Barcode scanning

Scan your way through the count

Landara pulls each product's barcode when you start, so a scan resolves straight to the right SKU and adds one to the count.

USB / Bluetooth scanner

Any HID barcode scanner types into the scan box and presses Enter, the fastest way to run a full count on a desktop. Works everywhere.

Camera scanning

Point your device camera at a barcode in Chrome on desktop or Android. Prefer a USB or Bluetooth scanner for a full count. It works on any device.

Note: iPhone / iPad Safari doesn't support in-browser camera scanning yet. On iOS, use a USB/Bluetooth scanner or type the count. A hardware scanner works on any device.

It updates your books, not just your counts

Most stocktake tools stop at fixing quantities. Landara ties the variance to your cost of goods sold, the FIFO way:

Counted less than expected

Shrinkage: costed FIFO from your existing cost layers and posted as a COGS adjustment.

Counted more than expected

Found stock: added as a new cost layer at the shown cost.

Push to Shopify (optional)

Set Shopify on-hand to your counted quantities in the same commit, so both systems match reality.

Audit + CSV

Every stocktake is saved with a per-SKU variance and cost impact, downloadable as CSV for your accountant.

Landara has made it much easier to keep track of my actual product costs. I really like that it takes things like shipping and duties into account instead of just showing the basic cost. Simple app, easy to use, and I’m already getting a much clearer idea of my real margins.

I installed Landara because I was getting tired of guessing what my inventory was actually costing me. What I liked most was being able to see the product cost together with things like shipping and duties, I've been trying to keep a closer eye on my margins, so having those costs in one place has made things much easier for me. It didn't take me long to get setup either, which was a nice bonus.

I honestly didn’t expect Landara to make this part of my store that much easier. I installed it mainly to get a better handle on my actual product costs, and I was pleasantly surprised by how everything comes together. I’m still exploring it, but so far it’s been really useful and I’m impressed with how it works.

I've just started using Landara, and so far I'm impressed with how it handles landed costs. I especially like being able to account for things like freight and duty instead of treating the supplier price as the whole cost. Still exploring the app, but it already looks like it could save me a lot of spreadsheet work.
