About Landara

Built for Shopify merchants whose real costs still live in a spreadsheet.

The problem we solve

Shopify tracks every unit that comes in and every unit that goes out. What it does not track is what any of it cost you. That number ends up somewhere else: a spreadsheet, or the Cost per item field you typed once and have not touched since.

A spreadsheet cannot win this job, and not because you are careless with it. It cannot see a sale, so it is already out of date. It arrives after the freight invoice does, so the cost you sold at was never the cost you paid. And it holds one cost per product, when real cost of goods sold needs a cost per shipment, drawn down oldest first, with an audit trail behind every order.

How Landara works

Landara connects to your store and holds the cost side. Every receipt of stock becomes a dated FIFO cost layer. Every order draws down the oldest layer first. If you import, upload the freight invoice and the customs bill: our AI extracts the numbers, allocates them across the shipment, and lands them into the unit cost before the layer forms.

At the end of the period you get a clean cost of goods sold figure and a ready-to-post Dr COGS / Cr Inventory journal for Xero or QuickBooks Online. Landara prepares it. You decide when it posts.

Who we built this for

Shopify merchants who buy finished goods and resell them, whether those goods come from a supplier overseas or one down the road. If you import, landed cost is the accuracy engine underneath your COGS. If you do not, FIFO on its own is the product. We also built it for the bookkeepers and accountants who rebuild that number by hand every month.

We are deliberately not an inventory management system. If you run multiple stores on one stock pool, sell the same stock across several channels, or manufacture from raw materials, a full IMS is the better call and we will tell you so.

Our approach

Shopify counts your stock. Landara costs it. That is the whole scope, and keeping it narrow is the strategy rather than a limitation. Nothing gets ripped out and replaced, Shopify stays the system of record for quantity, and your accounting software stays where the books live.
